Leadership

Leadership ministry opportunities are planning and decision-making activities related to the effective use of congregational resources.
 
CHURCH COUNCIL MEMBER-AT-LARGE
Represent the congregation on this decision-making body.
ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE (Coming Soon)
Help oversee the use of special gifts.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
Help prepare the yearly budget and oversee the expenditures of the church. Interpret the biblical and theological basis for stewardship through programs, resources, and training materials.
KITCHEN COMMITTEE (Coming Soon)
Oversee the care and condition of the kitchen.
LAY LEADER
Represent the laity in the functions of the church. Represent FUMC at the Virginia Annual Conference in June and report back to the congregation.
LAY SPEAKER
Attend classes sponsored by the District United Methodist Church and receive certification as a lay speaker.
LAY LEADERSHIP TEAM
Help connect people to a match between their spiritual gifts and ministry opportunities.
STAFF PARISH COMMITTEE
Employ, oversee, nourish, and evaluate staff.
TRUSTEES
Oversee, supervise, and care for all real property of the church.
NURTURE TEAM
Help plan and carry out the ministries that relate to the care and spiritual growth of members and guests.
OUTREACH TEAM
Help plan and carry out the ministries that relate to our visitors, our newcomers, and local and world missions.
WORSHIP TEAM
Help plan and carry out the ministries that relate to our services of praise and celebration.
WITNESS TEAM
Greet and develop relationships with people and follow up with people to incorporate them into the life and ministry of the church by offering them a relationship with Christ.
